About LuceOurLight and the LOL Team

LuceOurLight.org is the hub for The Victoria (Luce) LeBlanc Memorial Scholarship at Gallaudet University, Luce J. LeBlanc Memorial Library, Luce LeBlanc Theatre,
the Remembrance Hall permanent archive, Shop for Good, and the LOL Blog!

The site name, "Luce Our Light" was originated by Deaf scholar Danica Alexander. Main cover artwork, "Luce" is by Deaf queer artist Kellie Martin.  "Pay It Forward" painting on the site and on the commemorative mug is by Deaf trans cartoonist Carlisle Robinson.  Permanent installation performance video by Deaf actress, Dawn Jani Birley. Designers Don Cullen and Marissa Cullen provided the LuceOurLight logo and an earlier memorial website.

LuceOurLight website and venue spaces were created by VoxFem Network Director Annette D'Armata in close coordination with Danica Alexander, Head Librarian of Luce J. LeBlanc Memorial Library and Claire LeBlanc, Luce's mother and caretaker of her legacy.

The
VoxFem Network creates (at no charge) virtual venues, media, events and connections featuring outstanding women artists and changemakers from every nation and occupied territory on Earth. We center, amplify and promote non-dominant voices, thought and culture.  Under the auspices of 501C3 Red Salmon Arts, VoxFem is funded in part by the Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation, Resist and individual donors.
